Recipe workbooks

We believe it’s important to inspire children from an early age to be curious about food, try new things and learn about the history, origin and importance of the food they eat.

That’s why we’ve developed a series of workbooks for children aged 3-11, encouraging your little ones to explore the wonderful world of food and learn more through cooking.

Browse and download our recipe workbooks below and kickstart your children’s culinary journey!

Learning for 3–5-year-olds

Our workbook for 3–5-year-olds introduces children to some of their first encounters with food. Little hands can help mix, measure and pour ingredients as you make three fresh and easy recipes.

The maple fruit salad and banana bread recipes included in the workbook are so simple to make and serve as a great introduction to food preparation and sensory development, while the maple yoghurt bark helps with food presentation skills. Maple taffy is fun to make and a delicious treat that the little ones will love!

Learning for 5–7-year-olds

In this workbook, children are encouraged to start thinking about different flavours and where ingredients come from. Starting with a maple syrup staple: pancakes. The recipe included in the workbook is entirely plant-based, introducing children to vegan food preparation.

Your children can learn to layer and arrange ingredients in this maple yoghurt parfait, perfect for brunch or an afternoon snack, and test their ability to use kitchen utensils like a spatula with this blondie recipe.

Learning for 7–11-year-olds

Our final workbook introduces some more complex recipes as children are encouraged to take a hands-on role in the preparation of both sweet and savoury dishes, from brunch to mains to dessert.

With parents’ supervision, kids can learn to toast bread with this maple drizzled banana toast, prepare a healthy meal using an array of fresh fruits and vegetables with this salmon poke bowl, and whisk their way to their own ice cream.
