
Maple Glazed Roasted Chickpeas with Paprika and Sea Salt

Ingredients
- 1 tin chickpeas
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp sea salt
- 1 pinch freshly ground pepper
- 4 tbsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp onion powder
- 1 pinch chilli flakes
- 1tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1 rosemary sprig for garnish
Method
- In a bowl, mix the maple syrup with sesame oil, smoked paprika, onion powder, sea salt, ground pepper, chilli flakes and lemon juice.
- Drain and rinse the chickpeas in a sieve.
- Add the chickpeas in the maple syrup mix then stir gently.
- Put the chickpeas in a baking dish.
- Place the dish in the oven for 20 minutes at 180°C, removing and shaking halfway through.
- Chickpeas should be crispy on the outside and slightly soft on the inside. Continue cooking, if necessary, until ready.
- Put the chickpeas into a side plate.
- Drizzle with more maple, sprinkle the sesame seeds and coriander.
- Garnish with rosemary.
